Process for preparing fatty acid by continuous hydrolysis of oil
In the 1890s, the oil and fat hydrolysis industry for the production of fatty acids emerged. At that time, the intermittent catalyst catalyzed reaction method was used. The efficiency of fatty acid production through this process was very low, and the product quality was poor and unstable. Later, medium pressure hydrolysis and The high-pressure continuous hydrolysis process provides all the production capacity, product quality and product stability. At present, the high-pressure continuous hydrolysis process is mostly used in the oil industry. This process does not require the use of catalysts, and the production cost is greatly reduced, but the production capacity has been greatly improved. The following mainly introduces the most widely used countercurrent high pressure hydrolysis process in the industry.
At present, the largest high-pressure hydrolysis tower in use in the industry is DN1800×52000. There are three users, namely Deyuan Hi-Tech (one), Nantong Keita Chemical (three), and Indonesia Dukuda (two). Deyuan Hi-Tech’s hydrolysis tower is manufactured in Ruqi, Germany, and the rest are designed and manufactured by Nantong Safe Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. The capacity of a single tower can reach more than 100,000 tons per year. Take this tower as an example to briefly introduce its main production process flow:
The feed oil and process water enter the hydrolysis tower after degassing. The feed oil enters from the bottom of the hydrolysis tower, and the process water enters from the top of the hydrolysis tower. The feed method is plunger pump, which can provide the required reaction pressure. After the contact in the hydrolysis tower, the high pressure steam that enters at multiple points in the middle of the hydrolysis tower is heated. Because the density of water is higher than that of oil, the water will flow downwards and the oil will float upwards, and the two will fully contact and react. The crude fatty acid is obtained at the top of the tower, and sweet water (a glycerin aqueous solution with a glycerin content of about 10%) is obtained at the bottom of the tower. After the crude fatty acid enters the crude acid dehydration tank to remove the water, it can enter the fatty acid distillation tower for further processing. The sweet water enters the flash separation tank. After removing part of the water, it enters the three-effect pre-concentration to obtain a glycerin aqueous solution with a glycerin content of more than 40%. After sweet water treatment and glycerin distillation, a high-purity glycerin product with a purity of more than 95% can be obtained.
